Amsterdam is such an amazing city. I came for only a few days in 2018 with a friend who was visiting from Canada and for three days we just walked and took everything in. The bicycles are as overwhelming as you read about and you need to look in every direction before crossing the streets! The canals make for an incredible city labyrinth one can get lost in just by following bridge after bridge after bridge! As when I travel, I always strive to find the lesser touristy parts and stumbled upon NDSM which was once a working boatyard and now is an artist's hub full of murals and a huge warehouse of artist studios.
